We are proud to announce that we have been awarded the government-backed Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation, demonstrating our commitment to achieving the highest levels of cyber security.
This independently tested accreditation is only awarded to companies who have successfully implemented five key controls to protect themselves against common cyber threats:
- boundary firewalls and internet gateways
- secure configuration
- access control
- malware protection
- patch management
What does this mean for our clients?
Dorothy Roberts, one of our Directors, said:
“We have worked long and hard to meet the Cyber Essentials Plus standards because we understand how important it is to protect our clients’ data.
“It’s a high benchmark and shows people how serious we are about doing everything we can to ensure we are not hacked or vulnerable to data breaches. It gives our clients peace of mind that we take the protection of IT and data facilities seriously.
“We often see reports of businesses and government organisations falling victim to cybercrime, but we believe it’s the responsibility of every business to ensure you’re protected.
“But it’s particularly important for a business like ours that deals with sensitive and confidential information.”
Why is Cyber Essentials Plus so important?
New threats are frequently coming to the surface, therefore the Cyber Essentials scheme is designed to improve the resilience of UK businesses to the most common cyber security threats.
We commonly work on highly sensitive transcription cases with the police and criminal services, sensitive research reports and confidential legal and medical conferences so robust data protection measures are an essential part of our service.
We have held ISO 9001 (Quality Management) since April 2011 and 27001 (Information Security Management) since November 2013 and we are delighted to be able to add Cyber Essentials Plus to our accreditations as further evidence of our dedication to data security.
