Usually these interviews are transcribed verbatim. However, we will transcribe according to your specific requirements.
The main options are:
Verbatim
This includes everything said by both/all speakers, including, for example, "um", “er", "you know", hesitation (eg "He… he… I’m not sure") and sounds such as [laughs] and [coughs].
Intelligent Verbatim
This includes everything said by both/all speakers, but excludes "um", "er", "you know", etc, hesitation and sounds such as [laughs] and [coughs].
If you require any variation on the above – for example, you may require the interviewee to be transcribed verbatim and the interviewer to be transcribed intelligent verbatim – please let us know and we will be happy to assist.
In addition, we are also able to provide time-stamped transcripts and, for video and DVD interviews, can include gestures if required.
